I know this may be a rather dumb question, but as a blind person how wood you travel with another visually impaired or blind person? I mean, it seems to me that traveling with a sighted person might be hard if you can’t tell where that person’s going and you aren’t doing any physical contact or sighted guide, but what’s the best way for two blind individuals to travel together without getting lost or separated from one another? Canes and mobility are great aids, but trying to navigate efficiently through an area while trying to keep up with someone you can’t see, especially in a crowded area can sometimes get rather complicated.

The obvious answer would be to hold on to each other. Four of us zoners manage to navigate our way around Sydney in Australia that very way earlier on this year and it worked fine for us.

Hehe, must have been quite a sight, though, Harp! *grin*

Yeah, I'm lucky to be left handed and have right handed cane using friends, so I just hold their left hand with my right hand and we use our canes with our other hands and travel where we need to.

If you're not holding onto each other it's also helpful to always keep talking so you can keep track of each other that way.
